We have wonderful news!

You have been chosen to participate in an event worthy of both your concern and your support!  It's one that will tickle your inner (or outer) environmentalist and your sense of whimsy simultaneously.  Habitude's Earth Day celebration would appeal to your inner earth person (how PC!), and a special showing of that fluttering redhead, brings on the whimsy.

Yes, it's Habitude's 10th Annual Earth Day event and a Flying Redhead Art Opening, April 8, 2006 from 6-9PM. Habitude at the Locks 2801 NW Market Street, Seattle.  Featured artworks by Lynette Hensley--appropriate for April, lots of FOOLS will be there!  Could you be one too?

Lynette Hensley (Flying Redhead personified) started her career in art as a Costume Designer for theatre and dance productions.  Hensley recieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts, Summa cum Laude, at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992.

She taught Costume History at Bauder College in Atlanta, GA, and Costume Construction at Virginia Commonwealth University and a variety of workshops locally.  You may have seen her work in juried exhibitions in the Pacific Northwest, and published in art magazines.

Her beginnings in art as a Costume Designer for theatre and dance productions is reflected in her current paintings and collage work.  They are layered with complex ideas and energy, much like working with fabrics in costume design.  Her love for theatre is expressed with vibrant colors, intricate patterns and themes of fools and other rare characters.
